Oaxaca!
It started with a TV show called "Somebody Feed Phil." I happened across this funny, insightful travel/food show last spring, and decided immediately that I wanted to go to Oaxaca.
Turns out, Oaxaca is beautiful, historical, and inexpensive. So, along with my friend Kathy and sister Lorrie, we explored the amazing food, culture, and crafts of this treasure. We explored ruins, experienced the markets, learned about the culture, and ate. And ate and ate!
A note about the photos: I always asked permission and gave a tip to locals before photographing them. I used a Sony A7iii camera. And took a LOT of photos. Here are just a few.

Kathy in the agave field. Mezcal is part of the culture of Oaxaca -- and it's delicious!

Cooking with corn, rice, and grasshoppers!

Corn is an important staple in Oaxacan cooking.
